F3+R was established in Carmel, Indiana, born from a vision to turn personal values into tangible action. During these early years, we solidified our four core pillars of Faith, Family, Fellowship, and Research and formalized our commitment to supporting local physician-scientists through the creation of the Timothy A. Johnston Fund.
F3+R stands as a premier advocate for local cancer research. We continue to honor the legacy of the Timothy A. Johnston Fund by ensuring the next generation of Indiana’s physician-scientists has the financial engine required to turn scientific curiosity into life-saving cures, fostering a future where fellowship and science meet.
Despite global challenges, our fellowship grew stronger as we launched our first major community initiatives. We began acting as a vital bridge between Indiana donors and the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center by providing critical seed resources for translational research, which are the high-potential projects that larger national organizations often overlook.
As our volunteer-led organization scaled, we maintained our 100% Impact promise. By keeping our overhead extremely limited, we ensured that nearly every dollar raised supported the researchers and specialized equipment necessary to pioneer new oncology treatments in our own backyard, ensuring your generosity stays local. While the funding supports our local researchers, the scientific knowledge gained from these studies is shared globally, impacting how cancer is treated far beyond our state lines.
